NIA hoping to complete major road projects by end of July
The Nevis Island Administration (NIA) continues to upgrade the road network on Nevis, and is currently engaged in two major projects which it plans to complete by the end of July 2020.
The Nevis Island Administration (NIA) continues to upgrade the road network on Nevis, and is currently engaged in two major projects which it plans to complete by the end of July 2020.
The section of road from Big Rock to the Social Security road junction of the Craddock Road Rehabilitation Project is completed, following the final asphalting by the Public Works Department (PWD) on Friday, March 13, 2020. Work had commenced on that portion of the project in late January 2020.
Dr. Ernie Stapleton, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Communications and Works, says the Craddock Road Rehabilitation Project will recommence on January 27, 2020, and is seeking the public’s patience and cooperation.
Work continues on Phase 1 of the Ministry of Communication and Work’s Craddock Road Rehabilitation Project, from the intersection at Stuart Williams Drive to the former Debbie’s Disco property.
The Public Works Department and the Nevis Water Department Work recommenced work on Nevis on road rehabilitation projects which began in 2018, following their Christmas vacation.
