The Department of Gender Affairs on Nevis launched a new initiative called the Gender Champions Programme at the International Women’s Day Awards Ceremony hosted by the Ministry of Health and Gender Affairs on March 08, 2022, at the Nevis Performing Arts Centre (NEPAC).
Sensitising teens and young adults to the scourge of gender-based violence was the aim of an event hosted by the Department of Gender Affairs on Sunday, December 05, 2021 at Lime Beach Bar.
Artist Ms. Danielle Moore says a mural she created for the Department of Gender Affairs, as a permanent reminder of its continued fight against gender-based violence, was done in a style to draw attention to the department’s campaign.
Ten men on Nevis were honoured for their positive impacts in communities on the island at an Awards Ceremony, hosted by the Department of Gender Affairs on November 30, 2021 at the Nevis Performing Arts Centre (NEPAC), to mark the annual observance of International Men’s Day on November 19. The theme was: “Better relations between men and women.”
The Department of Gender Affairs in the Nevis Island Administration (NIA) announced on October 28, its calendar of activities planned for November dubbed Men’s Month, in observance of International Men’s Day on November 19. This year’s theme is “Better relations between men and women.”
