Mrs. Hazel Brandy-Williams, Chairperson of the organising committee responsible for the Inauguration Ceremony of the new Nevis Island Administration (NIA), says plans are progressing smoothly for the public event.
The focus shifted to male seniors, as the Social Services Department, Seniors Division in the Ministry of Social Development singled out five men for their contribution to cultural preservation. The gesture also serves to bring greater awareness to the Seniors Programme.

Single mother of seven, Ms. Stephanie Freeman, is the recipient of a new three-bedroom home at New River Housing Project. The gift is part of the Ministry of Social Development in the Nevis Island Administration’s (NIA) Community Housing Assistance Programme.
