Nevis set to collect millions in annual corporate taxes; thanks to new Federal legislation

CHARLESTOWN NEVIS (November 26, 2010) — Attorney General and Minister of Justice and Legal Affairs in the Federal Government Hon. Patrice Nisbett, described the passage of landmark legislation which would allow the Nevis Island Administration (NIA) to collect corporate taxes between $4-10million annually from businesses operating on Nevis as a red letter day for the people of St. Kitts and Nevis and a green latter day for the people of Nevis.

CHARLESTOWN NEVIS (August 26, 2010) — “Value Added Tax, because of its nature, will make us as a country, more competitive in the global environment.” So believes Attorney General, Minister of Legal Affairs and Justice in the Federal Parliament and Parliamentary Representative for Nevis 11, the Honourable Patrice Nisbett.

This came at Tuesday’s town hall meeting for residents of St. Thomas and St. James parishes at the Brickiln Church of God.

CHARLESTOWN NEVIS (August 20, 2010) — Attorney General and Minister of Legal Affairs on St. Kitts and Nevis Hon. Patrice Nisbett said law abiding persons in the Federation need not fear the proposed Communications Interception Bill headed for debate in the Federal Assembly later this year.
