Premier of Nevis Hon. Joseph Parry announced recently, that the Nevis Island Administration (NIA) had taken major steps to extend the Cotton Ground and Barnes Ghaut Villages, which over the years did not have available government owned lands for expansion.
Premier of Nevis Hon. Joseph Parry will attend the National Consultation on the Economy, hosted by Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis and Minister of Finance Hon. Denzil Douglas. The event will be held at the St. Kitts Marriot Resort on Thursday, August 14th 2008 at 9am.

Rawlinson Isaac, said that the company had every intention to fulfill its promise to the Nevis Island Administration (NIA) and the people of Nevis, to provide cheaper sustainable energy. He praised Premier of Nevis Hon. Joseph Parry for his foresight to allow geothermal explorations to commence on the island.
Premier of Nevis and Minister of Finance in the Nevis Island Administration (NIA) Hon. Joseph Parry will lead a delegation to Iceland from August 14, 2008, to observe geothermal operations there and is expected to return to Nevis on August 21.
Junior Minister with responsibility for Communications and Works in the Nevis Island Administration (NIA) Hon. Carlisle Powell, underscored the government’s commitment to make life better for all Nevisians. He made particular reference to a number of villages in the St. Thomas Parish, which had been neglected by the past administration.
