NIA CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS (October 2, 2026)- Four Bills aimed at advancing amendments to key legislation governing Nevis’ financial services sector are scheduled to come before the Nevis Island Assembly during its sitting on Tuesday, October 6, 2026.
The sitting will be held at 10:00 a.m. at the Nevis Island Assembly Chambers, Hamilton House.
The Honourable Mark Brantley, Minister of Finance in the Nevis Island Administration (NIA), will seek leave to introduce and have read a first time the Nevis Limited Partnership Ordinance (Amendment) Bill, 2026.
The Minister will also move the second and third readings of the Nevis Limited Partnership Ordinance (Amendment) Bill, 2026, the Companies Ordinance (Amendment) Bill, 2026, the Nevis Business Corporation Ordinance (Amendment) Bill, 2026, and the Nevis Limited Liability Company Ordinance (Amendment) Bill, 2026.
The Companies Ordinance (Amendment) Bill, the Nevis Business Corporation Ordinance (Amendment) Bill and the Nevis Limited Liability Company Ordinance (Amendment) Bill were each introduced and received their first readings in the Nevis Island Assembly on July 14, 2026.
The Bills form part of legislative measures before the Nevis Island Assembly relating to the jurisdiction’s corporate and financial services framework.
