The general role of the Ministry of Human Resources is to effectively adhere to employment management standards which encompass the following:
1. To lead with recruiting and hiring the most competent and trainable personnel.
2. To develop or source key training and development programs to ensure ongoing upskilling and reskilling of staff, to align with the strategic advancement of the NIA.
3. To develop HR policies and provide guidance to all employees.
4. To assist in building and communicating attractive and fair employee compensation and benefit packages.
5. To establish and support an effective performance management system.
6. To provide general guidance to both managers and employees to support and maintain professional relationships.
7. To assist with guiding key personnel on legal compliance, and health and safety issues.
8. To lead with establishing a culture to serve with integrity, impartiality, and national pride.
