Getting Around While on Nevis
In Nevis there are many of modes of transport to get you around the island such as taxies, local buses or vehicle rental. Noel’s, Parry`s, Stanley`s, Strikers and Teach Car Rental are a few examples of vehicle rental companies who can provide jeeps, sedans and minivans etc. It is necessary however that one possesses a driver`s license if they wish to rent any type of vehicle. This can be obtained at the Charlestown police Station.
Nevis has one main road which is 21miles in length. There are many different bus services that run to various parts of the island. The standard bus fare is between $1.50 to $4.00 dollars EC depending on your destination. Taxi stands are located at the Vance. W. Amory International Airport and in Charlestown, the city’s capital. You can also make arrangements at any local hotel to get in contact with one of the available taxi services on the island.
