NIA Social Media Policy

The purpose of this policy is to provide guidelines for Government employees on the use of social media while in the employ of the Nevis Island Administration. This policy applies to official use of social media on behalf of the Government and non‐official personal use by all Government employees.

The conditions of service for government officers, instructions for the conduct of public business and other miscellaneous matters are embodied in this code of regulations which are known as General Orders. These Orders are intended to be read in conjunction with Colonial Regulations, which are not repeated in the General Orders unless administratively convenient.

Human Resources Update

One of the key themes in this year’s Back to School Opening ceremony at the end of August was Collaboration. This seems a very pertinent theme to consider as a new academic year starts in the Federation and also as we celebrate our 31st anniversary of Independence.

Financial Assistance for Higher Education

Applicants should take note that financial assistance is neither a right nor an entitlement; approval is at the discretion of the relevant authorities of the Nevis Island Administration.

Application for Employment

Persons applying from overseas must notarize birth certificates and academic certificates prior to submitting them with the
application form.
