We have assembled here today to begin the first session of the Assembly since the local elections in July of this year. The Nevis Reformation Party (NRP) was returned to office after a hard fought election in which it obtained the popular vote and won the majority of seats.
Fellow Nevisians, residents of Nevis, friends and well wishers….I consider it an honour and my duty to address you this evening on matters of paramount importance to all who have a vested interest and stake in the future of our island home.
My Government welcomes you to the first sitting of the Nevis Island Assembly since the Nevis Island Elections which were held on the 22nd of January, 2013.
