Nevis public invited to forum for community policing initiative
NIA CHARLESTOWN NEVIS (November 20, 2018) — The following is an announcement from the Premier’s Ministry regarding a community policing initiative.
Members of the Community Policing Initiative Team and Explorers Clubs will arrive in Nevis on Friday, 23 November, 2018, to introduce and sensitize the Nevisian public about the development of the Explorers Community Youth Clubs, and to interact with parents in selected communities.
Upon arrival at the Charlestown Ferry Terminal at 10:00 a.m., the Explorers will march from the Charlestown Pier, left across the Samuel Hunkins Drive, turn at the first right to as far as Scotiabank, turn right at the Main Road, and continue to The Villa Grounds, where a press conference will be held.
All members of the public are invited to witness this march, and to be present at The Villa Grounds, where Mr. Osmond Petty, M.B.E., Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of National Security, Inspector Rosemarie Isles-Joseph, Founder and Coordinator of the Explorers Clubs and Leader of the Community Policing Team, and Dr. Neals Chitan, International Social Skills Consultant and Crime Reduction Specialist, will address the gathering.
