NIA CHARLESTOWN NEVIS (February 01, 2017) — The following is a notice from the Nevis Island Administration (NIA) regarding scholarships offered by Turkey

 

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in St. Kitts and Nevis, is pleased to inform that the Government of Turkey is offering fully funded scholarships to international students for both graduate and under graduate education.

 

The deadline for applications for scholarships for the graduate programmes is February 17, 2017. Applications for under graduate programmes will be open at a later date.

 

The Türkiye Scholarships is a government funded programme for international students who would like to study at higher institutions in Turkey both for graduate and undergraduate education.

 

Application Requirements:

Candidates who have graduated or are likely to graduate from an educational institution, equivalent to that of Turkey’s in the present academic (i.e. Bachelor’s Degree for Masters Level) can apply to Turkey Scholarships.

 

There is also an age condition required to be met by the candidates:

For applications to Under Graduate Degree: 22

For applications to Master’s Degree: 31

For applications for PhD Degree: 36

For Applications for Research Programme: 46

Applicants shouldn’t have any health problems preventing them from education

It is expected to have a certain Grade Point Average (GPA) from candidates for each programme and scholarship level. You can find specific GPA requirements in the application guide on the programme that you are applying

 

Required documents:

Application Form

A copy of the Undergraduate/Graduate Diploma or document indicating that the candidate is Undergraduate/Graduate senior student.

A certified Undergraduate/Graduate transcript (indicating courses taken and relevant grades of the candidate)

A copy of valid identification card (passport, birth certificate etc.)

Passport photo

Application can only be made online via Türkiye Scholarships website: www.turkiyeburslari.gov.tr and www.trscholarships.org

 

Assessment and Selection:

The selection of candidates is carried out according to academic achievement and interview performance. Türkiye Scholarships is a programme based on academic success of the candidates. Academic criteria of the applicants will be measured according to objective criteria such as transcript or diploma grade, national or international exam scores.
