Alexandra Hospital gets more storage space

NIA CHARLESTOWN NEVIS (MAY 01, 2015) – The Nevis Maternal Fund in collaboration with the Voices of Women, provided the Alexandra Hospital operating theatre with additional storage through their donation of a storage room attached to the theatre. It was handed over at a brief but significant ceremony at the Alexandra Hospital on April 29, 2015.

Voices of Women Representative Gwenneth Browne expressed gratitude for the opportunity to collaborate with the Maternal Health Fund to make the contribution to the Nevis community a reality.

Nurse Manager of the Alexandra Hospital Laurel Smithen thanked the benefactors for their generous donation to the Operating Theatre. She stated that the storage room would help to eliminate storage issues they had faced.

Meantime, Health Planner in the Ministry of Health Shelisa Martin Clarke in brief remarks, stated that the project was undertaken with the assistance of corporate citizens within the community.

She expressed gratitude to TDC, S.L Horsford, LEFCO Equipment Rental Construction Co. Ltd, Builders Paradise and Clarke’s One Stop and publicly applauded the hospital maintenance staff for contributing their time and labour to the project.
