NIA announces financial assistance for priority study areas
NIA CHARLESTOWN NEVIS (April 07, 2016) — The following is a notice from the Premier’s Ministry regarding the Nevis Island Administration’s (NIA) assistance to students who wish to pursue studies in its priority areas. The notice is dated March 24, 2016.
The Nevis Island Administration advises that assistance is available for students who are applying to colleges or universities to undertake studies in the following fields of:
• Teaching in the areas of Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics
• Special Education
• Technical and Vocational Education
• Nursing in the areas of Community Health, Geriatric and Intensive Care
• Radiography
• Environmental Health
• Civil Engineering
• Project Management
Or to qualify for Tertiary Certification as:
• Nutritionist
• Biomedical Technician
• Occupational Therapist
• Physical Therapist
• Water Engineer
• Electrical Technician
• Pump Technician
Each letter of application, giving details of the relevant fees, is to be received by the Permanent Secretary Human Resources, Bath Hotel, no later than Friday 20th May, 2016, and must be accompanied by the acceptance letter from the accredited college or university.
In addition, all students on Nevis are reminded that they may apply for scholarships to pursue studies in the Republic of China (Taiwan) via the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Civil Aviation in St. Kitts.
