NIA announces scholarship opportunities by OAS
NIA CHARLESTOWN NEVIS (MARCH 29, 2017) –– The Nevis Island Administration (NIA) is pleased to inform of the following scholarships offered by the Organisation of American States (OAS).
The Organisation of American States (OAS), through the Department of Human Development, Education and Employment (DHDEE) and the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), through the OAS Program for Education and Training (PAEC), are offering scholarships to qualified candidates of St. Kitts and Nevis to participate in the master’s degree programs below.
PROGRAMS:
– Human Resource Development
– Networking and System Administration
– Service Leadership and Innovation
– Environment, Health and Safety Management
– Health Systems Administration
– Professional Studies
– Applied Statistics
– Imaging Science
– Manufacturing Leadership
– Human-Computer Interaction
MODALITY: Online (United States)
LANGUAGE: English
DURATION: One (1) to two (2) years
DEADLINES: Programme admission June 01, 2017; Scholarship application July 01, 2017;
START DATE: August 28, 2017
END DATE: May 2018, 2019
BENEFITS: The OAS and RIT will cover 50 percent or 60 percent of the tuition fees

PROGRAMS: Master of Science in Public Health Nutrition
MODALITY: Online (Jamaica)
LANGUAGE: English
DURATION: 18 months
DEADLINES: Programme admission March 31, 2017; Scholarship application May 01, 2017;
START DATE: August 29, 2017
END DATE: February 28, 2019
BENEFITS: USD$7,000 to cover program fees. Student cost is USD $5,800 for remaining program fees

The Organisation of American States (OAS), through the department of Human Development, Education and Employment (DHDEE) and the Syracuse University College of Law, through the OAS Partnerships Program for Education and Training (PAEC), are offering scholarships to qualified candidates of St. Kitts and Nevis to participate in the Masters of Law program.
PROGRAM: Master of Laws (LL.M.) in American Law program for Foreign Law Graduates
MODALITY: Onsite in Syracuse, New York, United States
LANGUAGE: English
DURATION: One (1) year
DEADLINES: FALL 2017 – Admission Deadline: May 15, 2017. Scholarship Deadline: May 31, 2017 SPRING 2018 – Admission Deadline: October 15, 2017. Scholarship Deadline: October 31, 2017
START DATE: FALL – August, 2017. SPRING – January 2018
END DATE: If enrolled in FALL – August 2018. If enrolled in SPRING – December 2018
BENEFITS: 50 percent reduction of tuition fee as offered by Syracuse University and a one-time tuition allowance of US $3,500 offered by the OAS to the top-rank scholarship recipients. A one-time allowance of US $1,350 to help defray cost of travel to the top-rank scholarship recipients offered by the OAS.
