Premier attends business meeting in New York

(New York, USA–Wednesday, April 6th, 2011) –Premier of Nevis, the Hon. Joseph Parry returned to the Federation of St. Kitts-Nevis, Wednesday morning
after attending a meeting with businessmen in New York on Tuesday evening.


“Two main items of discussion were the lengthening of the Nevis airport runway and the building of a tertiary institution for hospitality and vocational
training,” said Premier Parry.

According to the Premier, a proposal for the tertiary institution has been
given to the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) two years ago and feedback
has not been received by the Nevis Island Administration to date.

One of the businessmen who were in attendance applauded the Premier for the idea of the higher education institute for Nevis and said that he was very
interested in moving the project forward.
