Digicel makes presentation to Premier Amory
Digicel was the latest telephone company in St. Kitts and Nevis to donate a mobile telephone to the Premier at his Bath Hotel office on January 30, 2013, when the Company’s Country Manager of St. Kitts and Nevis Mr. Sean Latty presented him with a Galaxy S3phone.
“On behalf of Digicel I would like to present you with a brand new Galaxy S3. It is the latest and greatest in terms of phones and I know it will greatly help in terms of communicating and staying in touch, as you like to do from your campaigning. So I want to wish you all the best and congratulations,” he said.
Mr. Latty also used the opportunity to congratulate the Premier on his Party’s recent win at the Local Elections and registered hope that his term in office would be a success for him and, by extension, the people of Nevis.
Meantime, in response, a grateful Premier Amory thanked Digicel for its donation of what he termed a high end telecommunications tool.
“Thank you very much … for all of us it is a tool to enable us to perform our business our jobs better and I want to assure that we shall make the best use of that contribution.
“I also know that you as representatives of Digicel that you carry our telecommunications in the Administration. We are new and we will certainly be looking at the service and we expect that you will be giving us the very best and most efficient service that is possible,” he said.
He thanked Mr. Latty and two other members of his delegation Retail Sales and Distribution Manager Ms. Kaye M. Woods and St. Kitts and Nevis Corporate Sales Manager Ms. Jacinth Welsh for their visit from their head office in St. Kitts.
“Again I want to thank you for coming over from St. Kitts to make this contribution and just to pay a visit so we could talk a bit about the importance of telecommunications and performing the duties of government and also the private sector. I look forward to our continued cooperation as time goes on,” he said.
