Nevis Energy Minister lauded by OAS officials
NIA CHARLESTOWN NEVIS (NOVEMBER 19, 2012) — Minister of Communication, Works, Public Utilities, Post, Physical Planning, Natural Resources and the Environment in the Nevis Island Administration (NIA) Hon. Carlisle Powell, was lauded by officials of the Organisation of American States (OAS) for his unwavering support for the development of renewable energy on Nevis.
The acclaim for Mr. Powell came when OAS Representative to St. Kitts and Nevis Mr. Starret Greene, delivered a presentation of Energy Audit Findings and recommendations during Nevis’ week of activities in observation of Caribbean Energy Week. The function was held on November 12, 2012, at the Llewellyn Newton Disaster Management Facility at Long Point.
