NIA CHARLESTOWN NEVIS (April 04, 2016) — The following is a notice from the Nevis Health Promotion Unit regarding a free Health Screening session in Charlestown.

 

World Health Day will be observed on Thursday April 07, 2016. The theme for this year is “Beat Diabetes”.

 

The Health Promotion Unit in collaboration with Community Health, is inviting the public to take advantage of a free Health Screening session on Thursday April 7th from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Memorial Square in Charlestown.

 

The screening will include blood glucose and blood pressure checks as well as Body Mass Index (BMI) calculations.

 

Persons interested in having a blood glucose check, are ask to fast from or before 12 a.m. that day (eat nothing after 12 a.m. to show a true picture of your blood glucose).
