Premier of Nevis to be guest of honor at St. Kitts- Nevis Independence Banquet in St. Croix
“I am pleased and honored to join fellow Nationals and friends of St. Kitts-Nevis to celebrate this historic milestone with our community (St. Kitts-Nevis) in St. Croix,” Premier Parry told the Department of Information on Tuesday afternoon.
The Premier went on to say that the anniversary of St. Kitts-Nevis Independence is a time to reflect on the journey and accomplishments of the country, and to support the government’s forward momentum of the island in years to come.
According to Ms. Nesta Seaton, the St. Kitts-Nevis United Association’s Event Organizer, each year the Association honors persons from the Federation of St. Kitts-Nevis who have made tremendous contributions to the community. This year the honorees are: Mrs. Bernadette Williams-Walker (Finance), Deacon Delores Gumbs (Religion) and Mr. Melville Carlisle Jeffers (Construction).
While in the United States Virgin Islands, Premier Parry will use the opportunity to speak with Nevisians in St. Thomas on the many accomplishments of the government and his vision forward for the residents of Nevis.
The meeting with Nationals and friends of Nevis, hosted by the Premier of Nevis, will take place on Sunday, September 23rd at Victor’s Hideout in Charlotte Amalie West, St. Thomas from 5pm.
“As part of my Administration’s mandate of transparency, I continue to meet with Nevisians throughout the Diaspora to discuss the Nevis Reformation Party (NRP)-led Administration’s achievements and challenges in agriculture, economics, investment, education and social welfare to name a few.
“I also welcome and look forward to the question and answer period and greeting those who attend the meeting,” concluded Hon. Parry.
