Premier Parry to attend National Consultation on the Economy in St. Kitts

 

 

Premier of Nevis Hon. Joseph Parry will attend the National Consultation on the Economy, hosted by Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis and Minister of Finance Hon. Denzil Douglas. The event will be held at the St. Kitts Marriot Resort on Thursday, August 14th 2008 at 9am.

                                       
The 2008 National Consultation on the Economy will be held under the theme, “External Shocks and Changes in the International Environment – Our Analysis and Response”.
 
Premier Parry will make a presentation during the opening ceremony of the consultation.
 
The objective of this meeting is to facilitate a comprehensive consultative process between the private and public sector for the sharing of perspectives and recommendations on the economy, in preparation for the fiscal year 2009 strategic planning process.
 
In line with Premier Parry’s adherence to good governance and transparency, he held a similar consultation on the economy was held in September 2007 at the Four Seasons Resort on Nevis.

It brought together delegates from the public and private sectors, the clergy, education and youth organisations who discussed and made recommendations for the improvement of the economy.
