SKN establishes diplomatic relations with the Kingdom of Bahrain

September 28, 2018 (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) – St. Kitts and Nevis established diplomatic relations with the Kingdom of Bahrain on September 27th, 2018, in a brief signing ceremony.

Foreign Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis Hon. Mark Brantley, engaged His Excellency Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain.

The energetic and fruitful discussion focused on potential areas for bilateral cooperation to build strong ties between the two countries, including the possibility of mutual waiving of visa requirements for nationals of both countries.

Bahrain joins the list of countries in the Gulf region with which St. Kitts and Nevis has diplomatic relations, as The Federation seek to expand its diplomatic footprint.

Both Ministers extended invitations to their countries.

Bahrain is a nation comprising of more than 30 islands in the Arabian Gulf, with a population of 1.4 million.
